Run 5M
This
course is simple to follow: clockwise around the base of the mountain
on
blacktop park road, with one lap equal to five miles. There is one long
and challenging hill at the four-fifths mark (Mile 4),
but otherwise only slightly rolling. The course is not closed during
the
race, so be aware that pedestrians may be on the course coming from the
opposite direction. There are also traffic-control posts at regular
intervals
on parts of the course on the right-hand side.
Peachtree
City 5K/10K
This
moderately hilly course utilizes some of the numerous golf cart paths
typical
of Peachtree City. The surface is paved blacktop 8-12 feet wide,
winding
through wooded areas and occasionally crossing residential streets.
Several
bridges and tunnels are included on the course. In wet conditions, the
low-lying areas will hold standing water.
Hearts
and Soles 5K
This
out-and-back course on paved roads starts and finishes in the parking
lot
of Georgia Perimeter College's Decatur campus. It's one of the flattest
courses in the Grand Prix Series. There is a minimum of turns, but
there
is a fairly tight u-turn at the turnaround point. All roads are
blacktop.
